
Our Story
Hi, we’re SASA, a family-run sushi restaurant with a long story behind it.
My mum and dad opened SASA in 2007 after my dad had spent many years training as a sushi chef, with the hopes of opening his own place one day. For nearly two decades, they ran the restaurant with care and a lot of hard work.
Like many restaurants, covid changed everything. During that time, my dad became ill and couldn’t continue working, so I stepped in to keep the restaurant going.
We gave SASA a new life.
After a refurb and a period of rebuilding, we found our feet again. Soon after, a need came up - finding a new home. That led us down the road to 370 St John Street.
Today, my sister, the team and I continue what our parents started.
